We've added this fine young horse to our stallion roster and 2006 was his premier breeding season. His first babies will be arriving in spring of 2007. We expect fine things from this handsome fellow. His sire, Spanish Sweep, was a phenomenal horse who carried a huge hip, jaws and was the typical old-time Weiscamp type horse. His cannons are short, hocks low, and has great 4-square legs. His mother is a lovely line-bred stocky palomino mare and photos of both his sire and dam are pictured below. This was the only chestnut that Spanish Sweep ever sired. He has a wide muscular chest, beautiful short head and small ears, short back, broad hips with thick heavy muscling, deep heartgirth and a wonderful laid back attitude. We like him enough to have bred over 20 mares of our own for the 2006 season. As he is only four years old he hasn't finished maturing yet, so you will see some changes to him in the next two years as he broadens out. |
